Virtual HK Swiss Financial Seminar 2022 Agenda

We are pleased to invite you to the fifth edition of the Hong Kong – Swiss Financial Seminar on 21 January 2022. Like last year, and in light of the still existing travel restriction with regards to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA) and the Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA) have decided to hold this year’s seminar again virtually. As on previous occasions, the seminar has been aligned with the official Hong Kong – Switzerland Financial Dialogue, which will be held the following week.

The seminar serves as a platform to broaden and deepen financial sector relations between Switzerland and Hong Kong. It also provides an important channel for dialogue to share expertise and seek opportunities between Swiss and Hong Kong banks and other financial industry participants, while offering insight into the government’s views in both jurisdictions.

The webinar will take place on Friday, 21 January 2022, from 9.00 am to 10.15 am Swiss time resp. 4.00 pm to 5.15 pm Hong Kong time, on WebEx.

The keynote speakers for this year’s event are Mr. Stefan Flückiger, Deputy State Secretary, Ambassador, State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF) and Mr. Edmond Lau, JP, Deputy Chief Executive, Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). Mr. Marcel Rohner, Chairman of the SBA and Mrs. Amy Lo, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the PWMA will deliver welcoming remarks. In a panel discussion, experts from both financial centers will discuss and share perspectives on the trends of the family office segment in both jurisdictions.

The presentations will be followed by Q&A sessions giving all attendees the opportunity to ask questions and exchange views.
